The 4th of July!

U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A! The greatest day of the entire summer finally arrived at K-Kountry...and man was it fun! We adore being able to party, go crazy, and have fun at K-Kountry, and what an amazing country we live in that allows us to do all of these things. So before we get in to talking about what we did yesterday, we here at K-Kountry would just like to thank anyone out there who has or currently serves in our military for this country! The work and sacrifice you make for us will never go unappreciated here, we thank you so much for all that you do!

The 4th of July started off with a bang, literally. Starting the day off right, we were all woken up by firecrackers and the National Anthem. The best part about that though, was it was only the beginning. From there we enjoyed: a skit showing off all of the greatest Americans, chocolate chip & blueberry pancakes, and we even threw a counselor in the pool for America's birthday!

The celebration for America lasted all day, ringing in America's 236th and best birthday so far! As stated before, we truly do live in such an amazing country that allows us to celebrate as we did yesterday. And because of this, we wanted to make sure that we didn't waste a second of the day. So you may ask yourself...self, what all did we do at kamp for the 4th? Well...
  • Ice cream eating contest
  • Freedom rides down the zipline
  • 4th of July parade
  • Races down the waterslides
  • Hung out at the K-Kaui' waterpark
  • Water balloon tosses
  • Dance party at dinner
  • American Trivia
  • Watched National Treasure
  • And of course, FIREWORKS!

All in all, it was an absolutely incredible day! We had such a blast celebrating the 4th of July here at K-Kountry! Though yesterday has come and gone, the fun has only begun for term 3! We still have so much ahead of us, and we can't wait!
